Melford won their third successive game beating a very tough Notley
side. Sam Bayliss had an early chance going one on one with keeper
only for the keeper to make a great save. The Melford defence failed to
clear a corner and were lucky that the Notley team failed to
capitalize. Nicholas Bigg pulled off a great save to keep Melford in
it and at half time it was 0-0.
The second half was very similar with very few chances and both
teams hoping to snatch a win. Sam Bayliss was unfortunate after a
great run that his shot hit the post. Jordan Hellary made a surging run
down the right, he whipped the ball in for a Notley player to put a
foot out and deflect into his own net. Bigg made a superb save in the
last few minutes when Notley looked certain to score.
