It was great to see Paul Grainger (Main Team Joint Manager) at pitch side on Sunday, Paul had stayed over for the weekend just to see the Colts in action, he had worked the fixtures out and was able to see the U15's at 10.30am, U16's at 12.15am and the U16's Alliance at 2pm.
Well done Paul he certainly has had his dose of football this weekend. Paul was able to have an insight into the boys that he hopes will be coming through to the Main Team, some in a year or so, with all the teams winning at home this weekend the Colts put on a good show.
Thanks Paul for taking the time out to watch the boys.

Dear Players and Parents,
Welcome to the 2007/2008 season.
As your new Secretary this year, I would firstly like to thank Ian Gammage for his hard work as Secretary over the last two year’s, Ian will still be around, working on other projects for the club.
It is a very exciting year this year as we have two teams at under 8’s, 9’s, 10’s, & 12’s, one team at under 11’s, 14’s, 15’s & 16’s all playing in the Colchester & District Youth League. We also have this season for the first time our Under 16’s Girls team ( “The Filly’s”) playing in the SGFL (Suffolk Girls Football League), Dave Kings U16’s team playing in the higher standard Eastern Junior Alliance League, and our Under 18’s are playing in the Ridgeon’s League which feeds players into the reserves and main club. Over 180 Boy’s and Girls will be registered this season and in addition we also have the very successful Saturday soccer school with a further 20 players younger than seven.
We have a thriving and successful club here at Melford, one any player or parent can be proud of. I look forward to working with the committee in the year ahead and hope we can count on the help and support from our parents toward the smooth running of the club, more parents are offering that vital help each year, for this I thank you.
The clubs committee has again this year agreed to fix the 2007/08 subscription fees at last years level of £70.00. The subscription fee may be paid in instalments as in previous years if you prefer, in the following manner. £25.00 payable with submission of registration forms, together with post dated cheques of £15.00 1st September, £10.00 1st October, £10.00 1st November, and £10.00 1st December.
