Floyd signed for the club from fellow Ridgeons League First Division side Tiptree United on 20 September. An experienced goalkeeper despite his young age, Floyd has also played for Aylesbury, Hednesford Town and Wigan Athletic. It was at Wigan that Floyd played alongside the likes of Emerson Thome, Jimmy Bullard and Gary Teale in the Reserves and in November 2005 scored a goal against Manchester United Reserves' goalkeeper Tim Howard.
