After the improved performance on Saturday Melford slumped to a heavy defeat by promotion chasing Whitton.
After an even half hour Whitton took the lead through Williams and Hyde headed home unmolested just before the break.
Two very dubious pealties both converted by Ottley Gooch, put Whitton well in command and before the end Wright grabbed a couple.
