Unfortunately the club has had to postpone Saturday's pre-season friendly against Gibbo's Supporters and Dads XI. Despite recent work carried out on the Stoneylands pitch, more re-seeding needs to be done. Also, due to illness the showers are unlikely to be completed by the weekend at the earliest. The changing rooms are nearly finished but due to the unavailability of those involved these will not be finished before Saturday.

The match has been switched to Saturday 1st August, with the Glemsford & Cavendish friendly now taking place on Tuesday 4th August.

FA VASE AND FA YOUTH CUP DRAWS RELEASED

Melford have received a bye in the FA Vase First Round Qualifying and will be at home to Whitton United in the Second Round Qualifying on Saturday 19 September 2009.

In the FA Youth Cup, Melford's youngsters have the rare opportunity to play at a Conference ground - Melford will travel to Histon (pictured left) in the Preliminary Round (tie to be played week commencing 7 September). READ MORE

CLUB TO HOLD TRIALS NIGHTS NEXT WEEK

The Senior section of the club is holding Trials Nights on Tuesday 7th July and Thursday 9th July. The trials are open to any players who feel they could step up to Ridgeons level or who may not be enjoying their football enough at their current club and wish to try their skills elsewhere.
